More than $36 million has already been invested through the District and its partners toward the recovery effort for the Southern Water Use Caution Area; however, the cost to complete the WRAP is anticipated to be $1.8 billion over the next 17 years.
Partners on the plan include the Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority, Polk County, U.S. Congress, Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, other local governments and the agricultural community.
