What is an executive director order?
The executive director has statutory authority to issue emergency orders when immediate action is necessary to protect:
- the public health, safety, or welfare
- the health of animals, fish or aquatic life
- a public water supply
- recreational, commercial, industrial, agricultural or other reasonable uses
Emergency orders are subsequently presented to the District Governing Board for concurrence.
