Project WET is an interdisciplinary water education program that's interactive, hands-on, easy-to-use and FREE!
All workshops are conducted by trained facilitators. Special focus is placed on incorporating reading and writing strategies through Project WET activities.
Who can attend a Project WET workshop?
Project WET is not just for science teachers. This multidisciplinary program is available for K-12 classroom teachers in public and private schools, K-12 preservice teachers, resource agency educators, youth organization leaders, state and national park rangers/ interpreters, museum and nature center instructors and home educators.
What do workshop participants receive?
- Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide with 90 hands-on classroom activities and lessons correlated to the Sunshine State Standards

- Demonstrations of select activities and strategies incorporating reading and writing extensions
- FREE samples of the Southwest Florida Water Management District's educational materials
- Giveaways
- In-service points

How do I schedule a workshop?
Project WET workshops require:
- 15-30 registered participants
- Six contact hours of training with a follow-up assignment
