The trainings will include hands-on experiences, field trips and ideas and materials to help teachers integrate groundwater and watershed concepts in their classrooms.
The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) is pleased to announce that it is once again working with American Ground Water Trust (AGWT) and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to host four 2 1/2-day trainings on ground water and watersheds, with special focus on the west-central region of Florida. These programs will provide background information on watersheds and basic ecological concepts, technological skills and methods of interpretation for understanding water resources.

Additional information
- Participating teachers will receive in-service points based on contact hours.
- Meals will be provided at the training.
- Complimentary hotel accommodations are available for those teachers who do not live within local driving distance of the location.
