This Regional Water Supply Plan is an assessment of projected water demands and potential sources of water to meet demands from 2000 to 2025.
About the plan
At its meeting November 30/December 1, 2006, the Governing Board approved the 2006 Regional Water Supply Plan (RWSP) in accordance with Section 373.0361, Florida Statutes. This document addresses the water supply demands for those regions within the District where existing sources of water are not adequate to supply water for future reasonable and beneficial uses, as well as to sustain water resources and the related natural systems. The District's first RWSP was published in 2001 and is required to be updated every five years. A significant public review effort was undertaken to ensure all involved and impacted parties had the opportunity to provide input during the update process.
